Messrs Abraham and Williams report : A moderate supply of cattle and sheep came forward at Palmerston yesterday A languid tone prevailed throughout, but pretty well everything was sold before the day was over. Competition in cattle was limbed to grown steers the rest were treated for after the auction, resulting in a clearance of all but one pen. Cattle - Forward bullocks, £5 os ; fresh steers, £4 8s to £4 los ; yearling steers, £2 ; 2year steers, £3 ls ; 18 uions heifers, £2 5s ; heifers in calf, £'6 ; weaners 30s. Sheep 2-tooth ewes, 6s 6d to 6s 6d others 5s 6d ; 2 tooth wethers, 6s 9d to 7s ; fat ewes, 6s *d ; forward and fat ewes, 5s 3d.
