Correspondence.

A CORRECTION. TO THE liDlTi>» OF THE STAK. Sik, — Your printer bas made rather a material error in my letter, published this evening, wbich I shall be much obliged if you will kindly permit me to correct. What I said with reference to shop assistants was, " There is nothing in the Act to prevent their employers from dockiug their salaries, and if, therefore, tbey would rather not have a holiday why should tbey be compelled to take one ?" Whereas the latter part of the sentence is printed thus, and the little word if is omitted, " And therefore they would* rather not have a holiday. Why should they be compelled to take one V" I am, otc, Saml. Goodbehere. Feildiug, 17th January, 1895.
