Satisfactory Dividends.
Q | (Per Press Association). Wellington, Jinuary 15. The annual report of the Wellington Gas Company recommends the payment of a dividend of 5 per cent, making 10 per cent for the year. .£2OO has been written off the plant and £1701 carried forward. The net price of gas for lighting is now reduced to 6s 3d per 1000 cubic feet. The Wellington Trust and Loan Company declare a dividend of 4 per cent, making 8 per cent for the year. The profits for the year, including a balance brought forward, were .£10,164, of which .£IOOO has been placed to the reserve and £1064 carried forward.
