A verdict of death from habitual drunkenness was returned in the case of the woman Theresa Herd, who was fouud dead in a houso. Haweea, This Day. A girl named Messer, daughter ' of a settlor uear Ilawera, was drowned while bathing in a dam at Ngaire. The body has not yet been found.
