Birmingham Notes.

[from ouc own correspondent.] The anniversary in connection with the Wesleyan Sunday School took place on Sunday last. Morning, afternoon, and evening services were held, the Church being well filled in the evening. The Rev. Mr Kcall preached at all the I services. In the afternoon the service was for the children during which Miss Buckman sang " When the mists have rolled away," aud the children sang " Little Mary " very nicely. The pulpit was beautifully decorated with flowers. The evening sermon was from the first chapter of the book of Daniel. The story was told iv simple language which went home with telling force. While the collection was being taken Miss Richardson sang "Oh Saviour, I am blind," with taste and feeling. Miss Lang presided at the organ and Messrs Barlow and F. Fanthorpe played the flute aud violin respectively. Credit is due to Mr Anyon for the interest he has taken in the children. Mr Barton, Manager of the Bank of Australasia in Feilding, and Mr Webster, of the Palmerston branch, have been on a visit to this district. It is expected, and hoped, as a consequence that an agency of the Bank will open here at no distant date, but of course these things have to be determined by the authorities at a distance.
