Stock Market.

Messrs Lowes ani Irons (Masterton) report at their usual fortnightly stock sale on Wednesday both sheep and cattle were well represented. In sheep fat ewes ranged from 6s to 7s ; small fat wetherp, 6s 6d ; stores, 5s 6d to 6s Id ; young ewes, 5s 7d ; old ewes, Is 6d to Is 8d ; lambs, Is lOd to 3s lOd ; rains, 10s each. Cattle — Beef cows, £4 10s to £5 10s; heifers, £4 15s; store steers, 60s to 80s ; yearlings, 35s to 40s ; calves, 275 ; weaners, 15s ; dairy cows, according to quality, £2 to £5 10s. Pigs— Stores, 13s to 16s; weaners, Bs. Mr Chas. Carr reports recent stock stock sales as follows :— I held a private stock sale, on account of Mr F. S. Guy, at Birmingham on the 3rd instant, and ordinary stock sales at Rangiwabia, Birmingham, and Feilding, on the sth, Bth, and 11th instants respectively. The private sale was unreserved and stock realised recent prices. At Rangiwahia the attendance was very good, and a fair number came forward ; bidding was brisk, and I quitted nearly everything. At Birmingham and Feilding the entries were small, and the sales very dull. I quote: Mr Guy's salerMixed lines of ewes, lambs and. wethers, 3s Id ; fat cows, £5 ; store cows, £2 15s ; 24-year steers, £3 2s 6d. Rangiwabia — Springing heifers, 5s to £4 17s 6d ; 18-month mixed heifers, £2 6s; store cows, £3 ; milch cows, ££ 10s to £5 ; 2fyear steers, £3 12s to £3 16s; weanars, 16s to 30s; ewes (mixed ages), 4s to 5s 6d ; wethers, 5s 6d to 6s 7d ; 2-tooth mixed wethers, 5s 6d ; lambs, 3s. Birmingham Weaners, £1 6s ; 18 month cattle, £2 7s 6d to £2 10s ; ewes and lambs (all counted) 3s 6d; wethers, 3s 6d to 6s lOd. Feilding— Fat bullocks, £6 6s ; fat cows, £4 10s ; store cows, £3 4s ; wethers, 6s 9d ; cull ewes, Is lOd ; cull lambs, 2s to 2s 3d ; fat ewes, 6s 3d to 6s 6d.
