Christchuroh, January 6 At the adjourned inquest on the body of Mra Selina Russell, found in the Avon River on Thursday morning, the jury returned a verdict that the deceased died from syncope of the heart, and added a rider to the effect that- there is urgent necessity for a public morgue, for the reception o fsuch cases. Steady rain feil for several hours this morning, and was very acceptable to farmers. Napier. This Day. The Misses Russell, daughters of Captain Russell, were thrown out of a buggy on Saturday, and both were very much shaken. Miss Russell was uncbhcious; fgr several hours. Neither of them, however, is dangerously hart.
