Senator Wilson has introduced a Bill providing for the repeal of differential duty on sugar. Admiral Walker (who was deputed by the United States Government to counteract British influence in favor of the Queen of Hawaii) states in a report to the Senate that the presence of British warships in Hawiian waters imperils American influence, and that the British are only waiting for an opportunity, in the absence of American cruisers, to land troops to support the Royalists against the Republicans.
