FEILDING ATHLETIC SPORTS.
The nineteenth annual meeting of the Feilding Athletic Sports will he held on the Oval on Boxing Day, when there is every prospect of a larger attendance than on any previous occasion. Each year these sports grow more and more in favor with everyone up and down the coast, and it is an event looked forward to by hundreds out of the district, especially in Wanganui. The entries for the various events are very good, and we can confidently look forward to them being well contested. The class of rnnners are up to the usual high standard, and fast times should be the result. Events that are creating some considerable interest are the bicycle races, and many are the conjectures as to the probable winners, but it is generally believed that Palmerstou's champion will be able to pull off hpth these races. The Committee of the Sports have been attentive to all the requirements necessary to make the day's outing enjoyablo to visitors and competitors.
