Rangitikei-Manawatu Cricket Association.

o A committee meeting of the RangitikeiManawatu Cricket Association was held at the Feilding Hotel last evening. The clubß represented were— Feilding, by Mr A Richards ; Colyton, G. Simpson ; Birmingham, F. Barlow; Carnarvon, Bo water. A. H. Tompkins (secretary) and A. C. Carty (treasurer) were also present. Mr Carty was voted to the chair on the motion of Mr Simpson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmod. Mr Bowater raised the question of playing on the Falmerstoq ground. He said his club objected to playing on as phalt, but did not mind playing at Palmerlon on turf. He was informed that the fixtures could only be altered by mutual arrangement between the clubs or notice of motion. Correspondence was received from Mr J. Cotter, of Aahurat, accepting position of vice-president of the Union, and enclosing a cheque for £3 3s. Resolved, That a vote of thanks be accorded to Mr Cotter for his donation. From Mr Marter, secretary Wellington Union, stating that owing to the shortness of the timo his Union was unable to arrauge club matches, but could put a scratch team in the field on Boxing Day, or the following day. The secretary stated lie had written to Wanganui to try and arrange a match, but had not received a reply. Resolved, That the secretary endeavor to arrange a trip through the Wairarapa during the Christmas holidays, starting on the 27th instant and playing three matches. It was suggested that matches be played at Fahiatua, Masterton and Greytown. Proposed by Mr Barlow, seconded by Mr Simpson, That Messrs Tonipkina and Richards select the team for the trip — Carried.. The names of oighteen players, from whom a team will be selected, were submitted by the delegates. Thoße players who will be willing to go are requested to communicate with the secretary at once. The meeting then adjourned,
