Colyton School.
The ruouthly meeting of the Colyton School Committee was held last night in the schoolroom. Present— Messrs Shortall (chairman), Bramwell, King, and E. Smith. The usual routiuo business baring been transacted, the Master's roport was read. It stated that all was in full swing to make the annual concert oq the 20th inst. a great success. For the second part help has been promised by some of the best Feilding amateurs. The picnic will be held on Nevr Year's Day. It was decided to thankfully accept Mr John Andrew's offer of his grounds for the picnic, aud to hold it there. Messrs Bray and Shortall were ap. pointed a sub-committee to assist the Master in the matter of the concert and the picnic. It was resolved, That the Master be asked to arrange for a first and second prize to bo given in each standard ; also, for the giving of special prizes. It was reported that Master James Fraser had resigned his position as cadet to the school, and on the Master's suggestion the committee recommended Miss Olive Pleasants to the position. Some accounts having been passed for payment, the meeting adjourned.
