The Wool Markets.
The first wool salo of the season is to be hold at uoon to-day iv the rooms of the New Zealaud Loan and Mercantile Ageucy Company, Wellington, when catalogues of about 900 bales will be submitted by the Company's auctioneer. Prices recently have suffered a decline since last season, which was particularly manifest at Christchurch last week, when tho market was without vitality, only a third of the cataloguo being disposed of under tho hammer. Since then cable advices report the market as hardening somewhat, which will teud to give tho buyers incrersed confidence, and wo aro hopeful to see a good clearance. A good number of foreign and local buyers will be preseut, and prices, although expected to be below last year's figures, will uot, we trust show such a decline as was at first expected.— Times.
