Messrs Abraham and Williams, of Pa merston, have purchased a site iv tL township for the erection of sale yard As soon as they hare finished at Pahu tua, the men will be put on to build hey( In the meantime Messrs Adsett and So are cutting the necessary timber. Thi should be a boon to the settlers in th district. A shoemaker has started business or. posite Mr Palmer's hotel. The first game of cricket was playe in the township last week. It was pre posed to form a club and all those wh are interested should roll up next Satui day. Mr Palmer has recently built a larg stable and has now plenty of accoiumc dation for horses and vehicles. I uudex stand he will shortly build a new store facing the main road. Messrs Freeman Jackson and Co., c Wanganui, have sent a donation for th hutlrlincr fund of our lia.ll. — Standard.
