A young woman, named Charlotte Chamberlain, eighteen years of age, was found by the police at 4 a.m. in a doorway in Queen street in tho pangs of child-birth. They took the sufferer to the Hospital iv a cab. Tho child was born dead iv the cab. Tho girl not being admitted at tho Hospital, the cabman drove on to tho Costley Home, where she was admitted. The girl came from Sydney four months ago.
