(Per Press Association.) London. November 18. The delegates who visited England from Swaziland, to ask for a British protectorate over tho latter country, have interviewed the Queen. Her Majesty, after hearing what the delegates had to say, regretted that she must refuse to alter the position. Tho delegates suggested to Lord Ripou that in the event of a refusal to declare a British protectorate he should insist on tho country being allowed to remain iudepeudonfc. Lord Ripou replied that owing to the Convention with tlie Transvaal, it was impossible to declare a protectorate unless the Boers assented. If the couutry remained independent, tho Boers would be certain to mako it tho object of filibustering expeditious.
