+ Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows :— Sheep came forward in less than advertised numbers— the entry being praoticallj confined to hoggets in their wool. Bidding was somewhat brisker, but prices remain without alteration. A fairly numerous entry of cattle. Young cattle elicited keen competition and made full rates, quality considered. The offer made for steers and grown buliocks was fully in accord with tnarktt price, but faiUd to produce business. Beef showed no reduction. Young pigs sold freelj in favour of the vendor. Sheep — medium hoggets, 9a 4d ; others, 7s 7d to 7s 9d ; ewee, mixed ages 8s lOd. Cattle— Fat bullocks, light weights, L 6 15s to LG 19s 6d ; yearling steers, L 2 7s ; weaners mixed sexes 34s to 43s 6d : springing heifers, L 5 10s ; choice Ayrshire cow in full profit, LlO. Weaner pigs 10s to 13b 6d ; wellbred breeding sows 30a.
