OAMARU BONDS. THE BUTTER MARKET. (PEE PBKSB ASSOCIATION.] London, November 14. The butter salesmen propose to quoto only the choicest brauds. Thoy expect tbat prices will be increased on Saturday, the demand having improved. The Oamaru bond holders resent Mr "Ward's suggestion that a sinking fund should bo formed before the Government give a guarantee, and are seudiug him a memorial on the subject. Lord Brassey, referring to " Colonial Expansion " a paper read before tho Royal Colonial Institute, said that, porsoually, ho should foel ashamed if Great Britain did not handsomely assist Mr Huddart's steamers. Miss Shaw who also read a letter on the subject, urged that the Pacific cablo and Mr Huddart's line should be eucouraged. She said she foresaw tho day when intercolonial shipping \youkj be scarcely less numerous 'than the British Ships trading to the colonies. Washington, Nov. Is. Tho Amoricau Strjko Commission recommends tho appointment of a permanent body to arbitrate in disputes between employers and employed.
