Education Board.
« The ordinary monthly meeting of the Wanganui Education Board commenced last evening. Present — Messrs G. CarBon (hi the chair), Sanson, Bridge, Fry, Baker, Hurley, and Rev. John Ross. Cash Statement — The cash statement showed : General account, credit, £1690 16s 4d; building account, debit, .£229 9s 7d, and liabilities £139 3s 4d. To Roti and Kapuui— Resolved, That the exchange, as arranged, of the teachers of those schools be confirmed, and that it take effect at the end of the present month. Upper Tutaenui — Resignation of Miss McGouagle, pupil teacher, accepted. Marfcon— Miss Massmau to be transferred to this school from Crofton. Awanuri —Mr J. K. Nairn to bo temporarily transferred from Foxton, and Mr H. Lyall, of Awahuri, to be transferred to Foxton. South Makirikiri — Resignation of teacher (Mr Smith) accepted. Other routine business was transacted and the Board adjourned.
