The quantity of Continental butter imported into England during October was 1000 tons in excess of the quantity imported in October of last year There was a good attendance yesterday at the sheepskin sales, and thero was fair competition. Crossbredi are unchanged, and merinoi are par to id cheaper. Tallow, medium mutton, 23s Gd ; beef, 225. Thfl English wheat market is strong in tone and averages 18s 4d. Continental markets are Grm and the American is changing a little for the better. A Victorian cargo of wheat by the Lady Lawrence, and a South Australian wheat by the David Morgan, were sold at 24s 3d. Eleven thousand quarters of Australian wheat, with prompt delivery were 6old at 23s Hd Tho Antwerp wool sales will be held on the 20th and 21st, when 5,G00 bales will be offered 450 of which are Australian.
