V.R.C, SPRING MEETING.
(Per Press Association.) Melbochne, November 10 The weather was quite equal to the preceding day and the attendance wan again large. The following are the re suits :— Spring Stako3 — Preston 1 ; Malachite 2; The Encounter 3. The other starters were Dreamland and Forward. Wun by three lengths. Flemingion Stakes— Au Rarin, 1 ; Maie 2 ; Onward 3 Eighteen started. A splendid finish resulted m a head victory for Au Karia. Time SOjsec V 11. C. Handicap— Quiver 1 ; Loyalty 2; Straight Fire 3. Thirteen started Won from start to finish, Loyalty being two lengths away. Time, Bmin 4sec Steeplechase Titnoni, 1 ; Kilkrney 2 ; Orandwing 3. Ten started. Won easily by four lengths. Norton who had the steadier of 13st 21b, was fourth. Tune 0 mm. 42^-sec. Canterbury Plato— Harvester, 1 ; Carnage, 2 ; Chestei'iuan, 3 The other starters were — Lndy Trenton. Question and Malachite. Won by two lengths. Time, bmin o*4sec. Free Handicap— Th* Possible 1 ; Newman, 2 ; Preeton 3. Won by a neck. Time, 2uiin O-A-sec.
