Feilding Cycling Club.
A meeting of the above was held at Mr Mackenzie's last evening. Present — Messrs Andrew (in the chair), Mingins, Gosling, J. Watson, Trcvcna, Fowles, Way, Mackenzie, Coornbe, Feck, Ricketts, Trewin, and Fisher. The minutes of last meeting were read and coufinued. After a lengthy discussion on the question of affiliation, it was resolved, That this club be affiliated to the New Zealand Cyclists' Union (cash amateurs) ; and the secretary was instructed to take the necessary steps for such affiliation. Resolved, That the secretary write to the secretary of the Sports Committee re placing bicycle races on the programme for forthcoming sports. It was decided that the opening run should take place on Wednesday, 14th inst., at f> p.m. sharp. Place of meeting : Under bell-tower, Manchester Square. It resolved that a club read race should be held on Wednesday, 28th inst. (Mr Ricketts to be handicapper), tho committee to arrange details in connection therewith, and nominations to close with the secretary on the 21st iust. Resolved, That Mr Saudilauds be respectfully requested to act as President of the club, and Messrs Carthew and Mills as vice-presidents. It was decided that a smoke concert should be held in Mr Mackenzie's rooms after the opening run, at 8 o'clock p.m. The secretary was instructed to obtain information respecting colors. A vote of thanks to Mr Mackenzie for the use of the room, and to the chair, terminated the meeting.
