■ « ■ Messrs Gorton and Son report as follows : — We yarded on Tuesday twice the number of sheep at Marfcou than were advertised, and full entries of cattle every yard and race being occupied con« sidering we had only a comparatively small number advertised we were agreeably surprised to be able to quit as much s'tqck as we did. We sold all the cattlo excepting pne pen, am] a great many pens of sheep, but most business was done after the Hale. Our quotations are : — Cattle— Yearlings to 18-months mixed .4'2lis6d; weaners and yearlings, 82s (id to yßs. Sheep— Fat shorn sheep, 9s ; .shorn wethers, 7s 7d ; wothers in wool, 11s 8d ; hoggets various prices, 8s to 8s 3d ; owes with lambs, 8s Ud.
