Wellington Land Board.
The regular meeting of the above was lield yesterday. Present— The Commissioner (chairman), and Messrs W. A. Fitzherbert, T. W. Fisher, and A. W. Hogg and Fred. Pirani, M's.H.R. The following applications to obtain titles were approved: — C. Patterson, section 6, Block 111, Pohangina ; F. G. H. Philpotts, sections 5 and 2, Blocks VII and VIII, do. ; D. Parker, section 44, Block XI, Ongo. Application to capitalise approved :— • W. H. Hargreaves, section 33, Block XV, Apiti. Sections surrendered: — Lucas Bros., sections 28 and 24, Block XII, Apiti ; S. Flavall, section 16, Block XII, Apiti. Mr T. Munro, of Bulls, waited on the Board in reference to the 70 acres of land allowed him in the Hautapu Block, in addition to the land he at present owns in the block. The 70 acres were not available, and he asked to be allowed to select 70 acres on the other side of his section.— lt was decided not to comply with the request. Henry Pickering's explanation in reference to sections 1428, 1424, and 1426, Bunnythorpe, waß accepted and the title granted. Mr Pemberton's application for a re« mission of residence conditions on section 1, Apiti, was refused. Mrs J. Hicks is to be informed that if her run is converted to lease in perpetuity she will have to reside on it. Mr Watcliorn was granted permission to lease the grazing rights on his land at Pohangina. Mr J. Curries application for 20 acres Of Salisbury Block was granted. Mr Peacock's interest in section Ul, Block VII, Apiti, was forfeited.
