The Secretary of Canterbury Cricket Association has received a letter from Major Wardell, of Melbourne, which seems to imply that Stoddart's eleven would visit New Zealand in the event of the dispute between Victoria and New South Wales not being settled. As that dispute has now been arranged there appears to be some doubt as to whether the Englishmen will visit this colony.
