Accidents and Fatalities.

(Per Press Association). Invkbcargill, Octobpr 30. Joseph Hall, who sustained a compound fracture of the skull through being knocked down the hold of the steamer, Taieri, died in the Hospital to day. Christchurch, October 30. Mr Frederick Banks, aged 60, of the firm of Miles and Co., died suddenly at bis office at 10 iniputes to 4 p.m., to day. He had been ailing for some months, but would not leave off work. The immedi ate cause of death was failure of the heart's action. He came here from Mcl bourne in J857.
