The Czar's Illness.
(PRR PRRH« ASSOCIATION ) St. Petersburg, October 20. Grand Duke Vladimir, in the course of an interview, declared that Russia would continue friendly relations with France iv the event of the Czar's death. The condition of tho Czar was this afternoon announced as desperate. The Czar passed a sleepless night. His weakness is increasing, and his condition is hourly growing worse. Prayers are boing offered on his behalf in various churches. It is reported that a difference among the medical attendants as to the real cause of the trouble injured the Czar's chances of recovery, while the nursing also has been defective, consequent on these differences of opinion. He is now suffering also from dropsy ' in the legs. The latest bulletin says that a series of convulsions have set in, and the patient is temporarily insensible. Owing to uremic poisoning the Czarina is suffering from nervous prostration, and a specialist has been summoned to attend to her. The latest bulletin announces that the patient is in a state of general weakness but his condition is unchanged. He rose from his bed yesterday, and is reported to have had a long interview with the Czarewitch, during which he indicated the course of the policy he wished him to pursue in the event of liia death.
