Chbistchubch, October 19 At a meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association to-night arrangements were made for a meeting to be held on Deoem ber 6th to consider the formation of a New Zealand Crioket Association. It was resolved to send a team through the North Island in 1896 Wfilinoton, October 19 It is understood the Evening Press will cease publication at the end of this month; also that the Herald Weekly paper published here for some years is likely to stop. Mr H. Both left by the Takapuna for North this afternoon, having been asked by the Government a as specialist to report on the message treatment at the Botorua Sanatorium The committee of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club recommend the Club to arrange for holding a Championship Regatta in Wellington on 22nd January. Henry Sterling, a sailor on board the steamer Grafton, fell from the small bridge forward on to the main deck, busstaining a rather severe fracture of the skull. _____
