4FFAIRS IN MADAGASCAR. (Per Press Association). Sydney. October 19 The Cabinet has decided not to make any recommendation to the Governor in the cases of the Bank prisoners Abigail and Macnamara. With regard to Law and Hadfield, they have forwarded certain recommendations to the Governor which have not at the present been made public. At Broken Hill, twenty-four men were charged with being concerned in the riot at Moala Station, and were acquitted. One hundred and ten jurors were challenged. Adelaide, October 19 The Taxation Bill has passed the Assembly. Melboubne, Oot 19 At the conference of the Councils of the Congregational Union, Dr Bevaa held that a protest should be raised against the inteference of France with the natural development of the Malagasy. Consideration of the question was postponed.
