Tea and Concert at Birmingham
There was a very large attendance at the anniversary tea in connection with the Birmingham Wesleyan Church held tv the Town Hall last ovening. At the conclusion of the tea, a meeting was held in the Church, when Mr A Fergus, son presided. Speeches were made by the Rev T. 11. Richards, Messrs Fergusson, Anyon, and Guy. Songs were contributed by Mrs A. Mcßeth, Miss A. Lowes, Miss M. Lowes, Mrs Fowler, Mrs Guy, a duet by Mrs Fowler and Miss M. Lowes, a cornet and clarionette duet by Messrs Fanthorpe and W. Barlow. Several 'musical selections were given by iliii cflmbmiid chcuvs J" r pni Birmingliana and Apiti, Occasion was taljon iqf thp gathering to present Miss Alice Lqwes, who has acted as organist in the Church from its commencement, with a very beautiful black marble olook inlaid with gold, on the evo of hep marriage. Mr G. Auyon made the presentation, on behalf of the trustees and friends, in a suitable speech. The Roy T. R. Richards replied on behalf of Miss Lowes.
