A PUGILISTIC ENCOUNTER. (Pfiß PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Melbourne, October 12. A sensational encounter took place in Collins street to-day between Dr O'Hara and Mr Purves, a well-known barrister, The former was much incensed at alleged reflections cast upon him by Mi Purves during a recent court case, Without warning he struck the barrister in the face and a scuffle ensued, resulting in Mr Purvess falling in the gutter. The combatants were separated by then friends. It is not likely that a Court case will arise, as Mr Purves declared his intention to resort to fisticuffs.
