185 OFFICERS AND MEN KILLED, j (Per Mail Steamer at Auckland.) Auckland, October 11. The defeat of tho Dutch troops sent to punish the Rajah of the Island of Rainbok, not far from Java, seems more serious than at first supposed. After a hard struggle, the Dutch were forced to retreat to Anipana with the loss of j 185 men missing and killed. This loss ' includes 30 officers. :
