Pukeroa School Examination.
The Pukeroa School was examined on Thursday, 4th October, by Mr Spencer, M.A., and the report must be very pleasing to both parents and teachor. The number on the roll is 50, 8 were absent, 22 were presented, and 22 passed. The school has been under the disadvantage of having no less than three teachers during the year, the present one, Mr Matthews having been in charge about seven months. The school has passed a very satisfactory examination, every pupil presented in standards passing. The Inspector adds: "That the work throughout was indicative of careful and intelligence teaching ; that the best methods have been adopted ; that the work in class and additional subjects is deserving of special ppinmendatipji, as it is much above tho. average; that the discipline, manners anil tone have never been so satisfactory before.'' Mr Mat : the^ys must have wqrked conscientiously and well to bring the school into, such a state of efficiency, and ye heartily congratulate him ou tho sujcess which has attended his efforts.
