Report of Public Works Committee.

At the meeting or the Feilding Borough Council held on Thursday evening last the report of the Public Works Committee was as follows : " Your Committee beg to report on the several matters referred to them by the Council. 1. With reference to the request of Messrs Prior and Philps, that Bowen strett be formed from Derby street to Denbigh street, the Committee recommend that the work be done as soon as funds are available. It is also recommended that the portion of Bowen street between Denbigh street and Weld street, and Weld street from Bowen street to Kimbolton road be formed at the same time. The cost would be about £25; (2) With regard to Mr Dermer'a request, that a portion of Sherwill street be formed and metalled, the Committee recommend that fifteen chains of the street be formed from Pharazyn street at an estimated cost of £15. The work to be done at once if possible ; (3) The Committee recommend that the overflow of water complained of by Miss McLean be attended to.— G. W. Fowlbs. Chairman."
