Birmingham Notes.

(from our own correspondent.) The anniversary services of the Wesleyan Church will be held on Sunday, October 14th, when three services will be presided over by Rev. Mr Richards — morning, afternoon, and evening. The choir are practising, so that some special singing will be heard. The public tea meeting will be held in the Town Hall on Wednesday, 17th October, at 6 p.m. The weather is cold, and altogether wintry, causing the death of sheep. There will be more Romney sheep in this district in the future than in the past. Several farmers seem determined to give them a trial. They find it rather disheartening losing so many. My own opinion is that the Lincoln half-bred is most profitable in the end, even with deaths — the increased wool more than making up for deaths.
