HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
The House met at 2.30 Several amendments made in the Factories Bill by the Legislative Council were disagreed with. The Government Advances to Settlers Bill was recommitted. In clausd 47 the minimum amount to be loaned under the Bill was reduced from £50 to £25. After considerable debate the third reading was carried by 86 to 11 and the Bill passed. The House rose at 1.80 a.m.
