♦ THE CASHMERE FRONTIERS. NECKAR ISLAND. THE OTARAMA IN COLLISION. (PKB PBRBP ASSOCIATION) London, October 1 H.M.S. Champion reports that Neckar Island is unsuitable for a cabin station, as there is no landing place. The Otarama bas returned to Gravesend with the loss of her main topmast and severe damage to her bows, caused by a collision with a sailing vessel in the Channel. Three of the crew are missing. Calcutta. October 1. It is reported that tbe Chinese have destroyed the frontier pillars in Cashmere, and set up others further on this side.
