FEILDING RACE MEETINGS.

One of the causes which led to the Feilding Jockey Club being " sat on " by the delegates at the Mnrton meeting was that the club was so progressive, had such a splendid record as n prize giver, and such an excellent and well appointed course that the representatives of tbe rival local clubs could not afford to miss such a chance of 41 clipping its wings." The Palmerston, Ashurst, Sandon, and Bulls dolegates voted the straight ticket against Feilding although it is whispered that the Palmerston delegate had pro mised to vote for Feilding if the latter supported Palmerston. The Feilding delegate did so and bia disgust and surprise can be imagined when he discovered that the Palmerston delegate voted hard against Feilding. More will be heard on the subject we are perfectly aware, and hope that next time Feilding will be better treated.
