(Per Press Association) Palmebston N., This Day. Mr John Reid, manager for Mr Pascal, at Oroua Bridge, was thrown from his horse at Karere yesterday and sustained an injury to the spine. Harold Reid, 14 years of age, was thrown from his horse yesterday and sustained concussion of the brain. He was unconscious for many hours. Mr Walter Hunter, manager of the Carnarvon station, met with a serious accident at about 3.30 yesterday afternoon. He was driving into Palmerston, and at the junction of the Rangitikei Line and Boundary road the horse bolted, with the result that the vehicle was overturned and Mr Hunter thrown out on his head. Dr Porter was called, and found that the injured man had sustained concussion of the brain, besides receiving a severe scalp wound.
