Loyalty and Launceston put in a good spin once round, the former look- 1 in" very fit. Royal Rose beat Nightin- ! ealo over the same distance. Paris negotiated once round in great style in 2mm 37secs, Florrie doing the same distanoe 3^secs longer. Waterbury and Mutiny were schooled over the Hteeplechase track. The former fell heavily. Oxide waß in excellent form. The latest betting on the Metropolitan Stakes is 10 to 1 against Paris and Royal Roue, 12 to 1 Lady Trenton, 14 to 1 n*iAm Vlnrria and TliA Triw.
