Manawatu County Council.

The ordinary meeting of the above Council was held at the Council Chambers on Wednesday last. Present—Crs. Ransom (in the chair), Taylor, Hammond, Robinson, Masters, and Strang. Deroles to W Orr • section 10, Campbelltown township, from J. W Bull to A. K. Bull, and section 109 Campbelltown. from T. W. Bull to N. Turner, be granted.— Carried. Mr Weightman waited on the council with reference to the gates having been Rocked on Pah street, Awahnn, and so obstructing traffic It was decided that the chairman should meet Mr Phillips and Mr Weightman at Awahuri on Saturday afternoon next, and if possible arrange the matter. Proposed by Cr Ransom seconded by Cr Taylor, That the special order mndo on August Bth selling the Sandon Carnarvon Tramway to Messrs Stewart and Hunt be now confirmed, aud that the chairman and Cr Hammond sigu and seal the agreement — Carried. The ordinary business of the council was then resumed, when it was proposed by °r Ransom, seconded by Cr Strang, that the overseer prepare specifications and call tenders for formation of streets in Campbelltown same to be in by noon of aext meeting of council.— Carried.
