A Perilous Voyage.

- -o(*M *ftRS« ASSOCIATION J Wellhtotow, Sept. 13. The schooner Frank Guy, from Newcastle, arrived this afternoon. Captain MoQuarrie reports leaving Newcastle on the 25th August. On September Ist a heavy gale was experienced, which increased in fury and for three days the vessel hove to and the rudder was carried away in the rudder case. This was five hundred miles from Wellington. The crew rigged a temporary rudder with hawsen, 'bat this was of little avail and, as the wind was fair, the schooner sailed on by herself. Within seventy miles of Cape Farewell the Wind veered 'and some difficulty was experienced in putting the vessel about, and, she labored heavily, but oil proved of great benefit. Eventually anothw jury rudder was successfully ru&ed and the port was reached. °
