Fire at Onehunga.
— ■♦ — [Per Press Association.) Auckland, September 11 A fire occurred at Onehunga this morning at 2 o'clock, Hyatt, news agent, was aroused by a smell of fire, and awoke his neighbours. The shop of Hyatt, the Terminus Hotel, and John Bray's shop were destroyed, while other buildings were more or less gutted. The occupants of the hotel, including a number of children had a narrow escape. Hyatt was insured for £150 in the Straights Company; the owner of the Terminus Hotel for £1500 in the North Ger man ; Messrs Roberts and Harris £350 in the Norwick ; Bray's furniture £300 and Bray's stock £100; Brodfoot, £200; Sullivan's building, £100.
