Freeman It. Jackson and Co, report on their stock sale as under : — We had a sue- : eessful salo at Waverley, and had a large entry. Everything was sold at satisfactory rates. At Wanganui, to-day the attendanco was not so large as usual, the bidding being dull. Some very fine hoggets were entered, but tho prices wanted '• wore in the opinion of tho purchasers, too high. Pigs sold at full values. Messrs Abraham aud Williams report: — At Pahiatua on Tuesday 4th inst ,we yarded some very useful cattle of all classes. Light steers made L 9 10s to L 6 17s 6d ; 3-year steers, L 4 17s 6d ; 2-year steers, L3toL 3 7s 6d ; milch cows at profit L63s 6d ; heifers, L 5 to L 5 15s ; cowaincalf, L 3 6s; 2«year heifers in ' calf, good sorts, Li 10s ; fair weaners, 30s ; poor 17s to 23s ; fat sheep, mixed sexes, 12s. A short supply of sheep was ' yarded at Palmerston yesterday. Suit* 1 able hoggets advanced in price, other sorts without alteralion in value.
