The Executive of the Prohibition League *fter considering the Licensing Bill approve of the abolition of the half poll, of bottle, Netr Zealand wine and railway licenses and the amendments re clab couriers, but think that the no license Tote should apply to the existing as well as future club*' charters. They welcome the recognition of the right of electors to rote on the question of col ontal prohibition, but consider the method in the Bill radically bad, and they wish the question of colonial prohibition should be submitted independently. They strongly object and protest against the three-fifths vote for no license, nominated committee*, the abolition of the cumulati ?e vote, the requirement of the three fifth* toU to secure a continuance of local prohibition, the form of tho voting paper, the right of license to renewal the provision of sections IQ, 72 and 78. the combined effect of which gives a commit* tee power to override^ the vote of electors. A aumber of amendments are suggested
