Wanganui District Court.
v (Per Press Association). Wanganui, September 3. At the District Court this inorning J. Bailey's case was brought on. Medical testimony was produced to the effect that accused was suffering from erysipelas in the head, aud it would be dangerous to remove him from the hotel where he was staying. Tho case was therefore adjourned till tho 16th. Two women, Aileu aud Cole, were convicted of keeping a disorderly house at Palmerston North. The former was fined .£2O and the latter £10. Accused were ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution. A man named Westerland, charged with aiding and abetting a female prisoner tp escape from the Hunterville lookup, was fonnd guilty and fined 40s and ordered to pay costs of prosecution.
