Cricket at Colyton.
A tnec'itiff of those interested in th« Colyton Ciicknt Club was held iv tbe Mangaone Hall on Friday last The "receipts for last season were £\2 2s and expenditure £l 1 2s 3d, leaving a balance of 19s 9d in hand. The Coly ton Club held third place for the cup in the Union matches la-t year, won five matches, lost two, and one drawn J Entwisle took tbe presentation bat with the best average 23 />-6tbs and C. Millen for bowling with an average 4 14-23rds. For the coming season the following officers were elocted : — J Nilsson, President; C Hunt and \V. G. Pearce, Vice Presidents ; J Entwisle, Captain ; G. P. Simpson, pcrotary and Treasurer ; M atch Com roitteo, Mespru Q. and C. Millen, A. Wratt, E King, and D. Entwisle Messrs Simpson and £). l£n,twjale were appointed delegates to the Union. The offer of Mr Nilsson of a new paddock for the wicket was accepted with thanks. For next season Mr Hunt will give a bat for the best bat ting average, and Messrs Wratt arjd J). Entwisle will give prizes for tbe best bowling averages.
