• <FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND. August 28. A deputation consisting of Mesdames >chnackenberg (President), Plummer and the main committee of the U C.T.A. waited upon the Board of Education relative to introducing scientific temperance instruction in the public schools. Mrs Schnackenberg urged it should be made a class subject, and half of the time at present devoted to the study of tbe laws of health given for temperance instruction. The Board decided to consider the matter ia a fortnight.
