Campbelltown Notes.
[fhom our own correspondent. • We have been very gay this veek. The bachelors' social on Thursday has already been reported in the Feilding Star, and last night another very enjoyable social was held at the residence of Mr B. Gray, who gave it for the benefit of the Methodist Church. The proceeds were not considerable, but will bo a welcome addition to the funds. Games and parlor amusements were heartily engaged is by all present, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The sumptuous repast prepared by the worthy host and entertainer was much appreciated. Farmers are taking advantage of the present beautiful weather to get in their crops. A comparatively small area is being sown in wheat, but a considerable area is being put down in oats. The Factory has lately undergone a marked change, and by the enlargements provision has been make for the protection and shelter of dairyists from both the sun and the rain while waiting for their milk to be taken in. Dairy farmers are looking forward to a good season. Lambing is somewhat below the average this year, much mortality having been caused by the rough weather recently experienced.
