BOROUGH ELECTIONS.

In connection with the vacancies in the Borough Council, to be filled next month, we notice there is a feeling among a large number of ratepayers that it would be for the good of the Borough if Mr Edmund Goodbehere were once more a member of the Council. In the past, whether as a Councillor or in the more exalted position of Mayor, that gentleman has done his duty without fear, while his experience in local affairs and his natural ability have proved of marked value on many occasions of importance to the Borough. We hope, therefore, that he will allow himself to be nominated as a candidate at the forthcoming election of representatives on the Borough Council.
