The New Bishop.

Crockford's Clerical Directory, 1893, has the following with reference to the Bishop designate :— " Wallis, Frederic— Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge ; late scholar of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge ; Cams Prize, 1874 and 1877 ; Scholefield and Evans Prize, 1S78 ; B.A. (first-class classical tripos), 1876 ; first-class theological tripos, 1878; M.A., 1879; deacon, 1878; priest, 1879, Ely ; Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, 1878 ; Lecturer in Divinity, 1878 ; Examining Chaplain to Bishop of Sarum (Salisbury), 1886 ; Senior Proctor, Cambridge, 1892 ; formerly Dean of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, 1878-91 ; curate of St. Luke, Chesterton, Cambridgeshire, 1881-83." From Another source we learn that the 1 new Bishop is about 40 years of age. The salary attached to the Bishopric of Wellington is £750 per annum. — Post.
